Tata & Howard Opens Satellite Office in Austin, Texas
MARCH 07, 2016 — Tata & Howard is pleased to announce the opening of a satellite office in Austin, Texas. James J. “Jim” Courchaine, Vice President and National Director of Business Practices, is providing leadership for the new office.
Already active in Texas, Tata & Howard recently provided management consulting and leadership skill building services for the North Texas Municipal Water District located in Wylie, Texas. This project is often a follow-up to Tata & Howard’s Business Practice Evaluations that provide for more efficient and effective work practices in comparison to generally accepted industry standards. As part of the project, Tata & Howard met with each of the nine wastewater treatment plant Superintendents, Chief Operators, and wastewater collection system management and held briefing workshops to discuss findings, overall observations, and potential opportunities for improvement to the treatment facilities and conveyance system.
“The opening of our Texas office is an important step towards expanding our national presence,” stated Courchaine, who has over 44 years experience in every facet of water, wastewater, and stormwater management, operations, and maintenance. He assisted with the development of the first Capacity, Management, Operations, and Maintenance (CMOM) guidelines as well as authored the Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification Studybook. He is also honoree and first recipient of the New England Water Environment Association’s James J. Courchaine Collection Systems Award.
“The Austin office gives us the opportunity to provide exceptional service to our Texas clients while also tapping into the incredible talent pool in the Austin area,” added Courchaine.
Tata & Howard has been experiencing record growth for the past three years, which included the acquisitions of New England firms Leach Engineering Consultants in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and Roald Haestad, Inc. in Waterbury, Connecticut.
