Tata & Howard Receives ZweigGroup Fast Growth Award for 2016

Tata & Howard, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Zweig Group Fast Growth Award for 2016. The award is based on both revenue and firm growth over the previous three-year period.

“We are thrilled to receive a Fast Growth Award from Zweig Group,” said Jenna Rzasa, P.E., Vice President and Manager of Finance of Tata & Howard. “Our record growth over the past few years can be attributed to many factors, including new clients and projects, existing client care, and our highly capable and skilled staff.”

Contributing to its record growth, Tata & Howard acquired Leach Engineering Consultants of St. Johnsbury, Vermont in 2013 and Roald Haestad, Inc. of Waterbury, Connecticut in 2014, and opened its newest satellite office in Austin, Texas in 2015. The firm also nearly doubled its staff.

Zweig Group, an organization that provides market research reports, seminars and executive education offerings, business conferences, and management consulting services to architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting firms, sponsors the award and will recognize Tata & Howard at its 2016 Zweig Group Hot Firm and A/E Industry Awards Conference. The conference will be held September 22-23 at the Arizona Biltmore.

Tata & Howard received the Presidential Sponsorship Award from the Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA) during its Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet held at Devens Common Center in Devens, MA on November 6. The award recognizes the firm for its exceptional and ongoing contribution to MWWA.

Also at the Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet, Patrick S. O’Neale, P.E., Vice President of Tata & Howard, was elected to the MWWA Board of Directors, where he will start as Third Trustee and move up the Board year to year until he serves as President in 2021.

“I am humbled to accept the Presidential Sponsorship Award on behalf of Tata & Howard and to be elected to the Board,” said Mr. O’Neale. “I welcome the opportunity to assist in the guidance of MWWA in its continued commitment to the drinking water profession.”

Mr. O’Neale has also been a member of the Program Committee for five years and currently serves as co-chair.

In addition, Paul B. Howard, P.E., Senior Vice President and co-founder of Tata & Howard, served as President of MWWA in 2009, and currently serves on both the Legislative and Finance Committees.

“Tata & Howard commends MWWA’s commitment to the protection of public health in Massachusetts through a safe and sufficient drinking water supply, and we are honored to support such a worthy organization,” added Mr. Howard.

Tata & Howard has supported MWWA as an annual Presidential Sponsor since 2008.

Tata & Howard was honored with the 2015 Sponsor of the Year Award from the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), the region’s largest and oldest not-for-profit organization of water works professionals.

“This award recognizes Tata & Howard’s significant, long-term support of the association through the volunteer services of employees, participation in committees and programs, financial support of various activities, and major contributions to fund-raisers,” said Raymond J. Raposa, NEWWA executive director.

This year, Tata & Howard was a Gold level annual sponsor of NEWWA’s major events. T&H has also been sponsor of the Annual Golf Classic since its inception in 1993 and has also been a consecutive Spring Conference exhibitor. In addition, T&H has supported NEWWA’s publications through advertising in the Source Newsletter, Member Roster, and the Journal.

A member of New England Water Works Association since 2004, many Tata & Howard employees have held positions of leadership and served on NEWWA Committees. Thomas R. Morgan, P.E., BCEE, Client Service Specialist, is chair of the Innovations Committee, member of the Program Committee, and a winner of the prestigious Fuller Award. Vice President Karen L. Gracey, P.E., is also a member of the Program Committee.

Thomas R. Morgan, P.E., BCEE, Client Service Specialist at Tata & Howard, received the prestigious George Warren Fuller Award from the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) during the Membership Recognition Gala on Tuesday evening, September 23, 2014.

Tom has been dedicated to providing water, wastewater, and stormwater services to communities throughout New England for the past 40 years.  Over the same timeframe, he has been actively involved in New England Water Works Association. He has served as Chair of the Program Committee, of which he is still a member, and is currently serving as Chair of the Innovations Committee. In addition, he has assisted with the aging infrastructure contest for the last eight years, organized several scavenger hunts at the Spring Conference, and attended numerous Association events. He is also an active and long-term contributor to Water for People, providing donations for much needed assistance to developing countries for the advancement of clean water and sanitary facilities.

The George Warren Fuller Award was established in 1937 and is presented annually to one member per section of the American Water Works Association for their distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, the brilliant diplomatic talent, and the constructive leadership which characterized the life of George Warren Fuller, one of America’s most eminent engineers. Such designation is presumed to recognize publicly the contribution toward the advancement of water works practice the individual has made.

We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Munson Earth-Moving Corp. for receiving the Associated General Contractors of Vermont’s 2013 Best Builders Award.

Tata & Howard has been working with Greensboro Fire District #1 in Greensboro, Vermont to assist with responses to the Water Supply Divisions Sanitary Survey and to develop alternatives for the long term plan that would address all deficiencies and meet compliance with the Federal and State drinking water rules. Part of the solution included the replacement of water mains to meet required system pressures and to address the old leaking pipes. Munson Earth-Moving Corp. provided construction services and Tata & Howard provided construction administration. Munson Earth-Moving Corp. received the prestigious 2013 Best Builder Award and garnered praise from local residents. On November 8, Don received the prestigious William H. McGinness Award at the MWWA Dinner. The award is given to an affiliate member whose knowledge and contributions to the profession merit recognition. Tata & Howard also received the Presidential Award for sponsorship supporting MWWA’s initiatives, programs, and events.
